Systems Engineer, CERTUS
Michael Toribio joined the CERTUS Food Safety team in 2016 as the Systems Engineer. He is responsible for managing the development of the CERTUS System instrumentation. Prior to his work with CERTUS, Mr. Toribio worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting in Tokyo, and for 10 years at Schlumberger Limited in a variety of positions ranging from Sr. Research Engineer, Field Operations Engineer to Engineering Project Manager. He started his career in the food safety market as a Product Development Specialist at Nestle’s Liquid Milks factory in the Philippines. Mr. Toribio holds five patents focused on fluid property detection and chemical component characterization. Mr. Toribio earned a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas (Manila) and was awarded the Panasonic Scholarship in which he obtained his Masters in Chemical Systems Engineering from the University of Tokyo in Japan. Thereafter he was awarded the NBMBAA Xerox Scholarship for his MBA in Strategy & Marketing Management from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Toribio is fluent in English, Japanese, and Filipino.
